William Cullen Bryant: His Literary Influences & Legacy
On Sunday, January 29th from 2-4 pm. Ms. Sunday Steinkirchner will discuss books in Bryant’s Library at Cedarmere, with the focus on Jefferson’s Federalist Papers, Thomas More’s Utopia, and the works of Washington Irving. She will discuss how they influenced Bryant's writing, as well as his associations with contemporary 19th century writers. Ms Steinkirchner is co-owner B & B Rare Books, Ltd. ABOUT OUR EVENTS
The Friends of Cedarmere, Inc. hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Most are free to the public depending on the event. Donations are always welcome. They're held on the grounds of William Cullen Bryant's historic Cedarmere estate; in the Great Room of the Main House; or, in the Gothic Victorian Mill (as pictured here, during our "Danse Macabre" Event). Events include our successful Poetry Series, gardening, concerts, dance programs, book talks, history seminars, painting classes and guided tours. Parking is available in lots north and south of the house, with two handicap spaces in front of the house.
